DJ Flashbacks

As a college freshman, I tried to take the opposite tack from high school and actually do things.

Not school work obviously, fun stuff.

I joined the fencing team, the newspaper, and signed up to be a DJ at the radio station. As far as I was told, freshmen rarely if ever were awarded a shift. I put in for the shittiest shifts available (1-3am any day of the week), and that worked.

Any time I meet up with friends from college, my nostalgia glands kick into high gear and I need to relive the "glory days." I don't have tapes of my shows anymore, but I put together a small sampler of songs that I know I played at one time or another.

*Urp*

My brother got married in mid-May.

The wedding photos were sent out about two weeks later and I was NOT happy with what I saw in those pictures.

I don't mean the wedding, I mean me. I looked F-A-T. As in "when I sit around the house, I sit AROUND the house" fat.

I hit a high point of 275.9 when I started on the weight loss. Now, I exercise, take long walks, and eat better. It's HARD as hell, but I'm doing it. I weigh-in on Monday mornings, because if I did it every day I would drive myself crazy.

As of last Monday, I was 258.2. After liberal use of the calculator, I've determined that that is a drop of 17.7 pounds.

Today though... back up almost a pound. But I have a good excuse! My wife and spent a long weekend up in Northern Maine.

Seriously, how could I be expected to control my eating in such horrible conditions?

I mean, good god. UGH.
